Transitus Oblates, each according to their own ability, are to help pay for the association’s costs in serving its members, the Church, and those in need. A tithe of 2% of one’s income or an offering of $12.50 per month ($150 per year) is recommended but not required. Oblates may also offer some helpful form of labor, materials, or resources as contribution toward the many expenses and needs of the association and its apostolate. “Amen, I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the other contributors to the treasury. For they have all contributed from their surplus wealth, but she, from her poverty, has contributed all she had, her whole livelihood.”
